And as I know Jellyfin isn’t compatible natively with Samsung TVs. I’m giving a chance to Plex, because I don’t want to buy an Apple TV or any other things to my Samsung TV. I would run native if possible, even if I have to pay, as a commenter wrote it. The Mac Mini would the best because icloud and imessage and the ecosystem. And to be honest I am not much of a gamer. I’m fine with Windows, I have a PC right now, but I’m switching to console gaming because of the prices of PC parts. Price competitive too, and you can usually slap standard M.2 or 2.5" SATA drives in there for more storage. There's a couple brands that make these little miniPCs that use Ryzen mobile chips, so they're very fast but still really low power draw, similar to the Mac Mini. There was some drama around a native Plex server app though, as people run into issues running it under Rosetta 2 (Apple's translation layer for x86 -> ARM) so you may want to look into that first.ĮDIT: before I forget, you could look into these if you're okay with Windows. Ensure that you are using Plex Media player. Performance wise the M2 will be fine, it's an insanely fast chip. Use a Macbook Air (Tested with Early 2014 133 inch version and later 2020 with Apple M1).
